It looks as though spring has sprung today, and with it more of the local flowers are becoming available. Poppies, jonquils, daffodils and single hyacinths are cheap, cheerful and especially good quality. Most are picked early in the morning and are delivered to us within an hour of picking - you can't ask for fresher than that! Roses, orchids and the most fantastic oriental lillies are the other picks of the week this week - orientals are HUGE and have at least 5 flowers on each stem - fantastic! In the strange and unusual this week, we have orchid roots, lovely fine green berzilia, calathea cigars (these are spectacular and last for weeks and weeks), some unusual leaves and foliage - tiger leaves, multi-coloured mini cordyline, pandanus leaf and michelia with its lovely rusty velvety back. Natives are of course super special at this time of the year - kangaroo paws have just started - the traditional red and green this week - more colours to come soon. Incredible tall green praemortis banksias, wax bud and green erica are particularly good.
Our range of fairtrade fans have arrived ready for the spring heat (or just the occasional hot flush!!!). Lovely bamboo fans with gorgeous indonesian batik fabrics, these make a fantastic gift or just keep one in your bag. When I get the chance to hang them all up we'll put up some photos!
More of those gorgeous chinese boxes have arrived, sewing boxes, gift boxes and jewellery boxes with mirrors in the most stunning colours and styles. Trinket boxes have arrived with them, as well as a gorgeous range of enamelled dragonfly's.
Have a good week everyone - new stock is pouring in - will post photos. See you soon!

Lovely lovely roses and native's are this weeks pick of the most fantastic flowers! Of course there are many many other amazing blooms - stocks, red reflex orchids, anemones and ranunculii, daffodils, jonquils, lovely poppies - so many many things to choose from!
Our new range of exclusive English gardening products have started to arrive - along with the advent of spring and the movement towards 'grow-your-own' there is a fantastic new generation of beautiful but practical gardening tools and gifts. Treat yourself or a loved one to something special to use in the garden this coming growing season. We'll post some pictures later in the week when it's all unpacked!
Of course potted cymbidiums are still glorious, cinnerarias and polyanthus are bright and cheerful, but we've reached the end of the potted cyclamen for the year, as spring is nearly upon us.
Have a good week all - will keep you posted on new arrivals with some photos. See you soon!

Daffodils, earlicheers, poppies and calendula are our gorgeous cheap and cheerful selections this week. Brighten up your day! This next few weeks as the soil starts to warm up is the best of both worlds - the winter tulips, hyacinths and amazing natives are around, but we're seeing the first of the spring blooms like sweet peas, asters, carnations, single hyacinths, stocks and snapdragons. Bixa nuts and the charmingly called 'cows udders' have arrived for those who like something different and superbly long lasting. Lillies are still amazing, and we should have some of the red reflex orientals any week now.
Cymbidium orchids are still the potted favourite this week, but polyanthus, cyclamen and cinneraria are wrapped spectacularly and make the perfect choice for a gift or just something to brighten up your house/conservatory.
The first of our fair stock should arrive late this week, hopefully a huge new batch of cards, some interesting gardening bits and bobs - come in and check it out!
Have a good week - see you all soon!

What a fantastic load of goodies we have coming from the Gift Fair this year!! We're particularly pleased this year with the Christmas collection we've put together - some unusual colours and styles, as well as some touches of the traditional - lots of sparkly bling, lots of giftware, LOADS of fantastic finds :) We're also happy with some of the artificials we've unearthed - we've finally discovered some of the blooms we've been hunting for years that look particularly good - excellent daisies and berries we're top of the list. They should be instore in the next few weeks. Some new red art glass should arrive in time for christmas, and a whole pile more bits and bobs. Very exciting!!! We'll keep you posted.
